From 27 to 29 March 2026, the Ambiens team took part in the 5th EOU Fledglings Meeting in Gdańsk — an international ornithological conference organized by the European Ornithologists’ Union.

The programme covered topics including population ecology, bioacoustics, migration, human impacts on birds, ecophysiology, and modern monitoring methods such as telemetry and biologging. It was a valuable opportunity to explore current research directions and exchange experiences with participants from different countries.

Attending the conference allowed us to view environmental practice from a broader scientific perspective and highlighted even more clearly the importance of applying research findings to everyday expert work. At Ambiens, we consistently strive to bridge science and practice — both in the selection of field methods and the interpretation of biodiversity data, as well as in deepening our understanding of ecological processes that form the basis for reliable environmental impact assessments and effective conservation measures.
